• Hi! I Have a question on how can I structure my store to obtain what I need and which plug-in to use.

I try to explain. I am selling gym clothes personalised by the logo of my gym.

So I am buying the vinyl in different color, print and cut the printable logos and the press them on clothes.

Since I only can make a limited number of prints I need to treat the logo like a product with specific variables and available quantity.

So the product “logo” will be 3 sizes and every size should have a subcategory “position” and “color”. I can use the same type of print in different product in different positions, for example the 30cm print I use it on sleeves but also in trousers. So every clothes item of my store then will have choices for the clients of the position I put and the available colours.

The first question is which plugin I should use?(bundles, composite or grouped?)

second questions I wanna make sure that every clothes product will be liked to “logo product” so that I can update only one item about quantity available and colours and this will add the stock and variations to all my selling clothes!

thank you I hope i have explained all well!

    Hi @letywebdev,

It depends on the specific settings of your offer: discount (percentage or amount, for all items or each item? etc.), min/max (per item or all items), tax rates (same or different), required and optional items, etc. Our plugin differs in many ways, so I will describe them briefly so that you can consider your choice.

    For your information:

    – WPC Product Bundles is a plugin for bundling simple, subscription, and variable products. Customers must buy all items included in a bundle to enjoy the promotion/discount.

There are 2 pricing methods: fixed price (General tab) or auto-calculated price (the sum of prices of all chosen bundled products).

Customers can change the quantity of each item when the Custom quantity option is enabled and can leave any item out of the list if you set the Min quantity limit for each item to 0. This is the most flexible and common plugin for building offers like yours.

You can check one example here, this bundle is made of different variations of the same variable product: https://doc.wpclever.net/woosb/bundle-samples/.

    Doc: https://doc.wpclever.net/woosb/

    – WPC Grouped Products is a plugin for grouping separate products together. Groupable items must be simple and variable products as well. Customers can choose to add only 1, some certain items, or all from a product group to the cart. All items in a group are still treated as INDIVIDUAL items.

Noticeable, Grouped Products doesn’t have any discounting method. Users CAN’T control the chosen quantity of grouped items as well. The only way to give a discount to a group is to use the coupons or vouchers. Doc: https://doc.wpclever.net/wpclever-all-wpc-plugins/woosg/ Live demo: http://demo.wpclever.net/woosg/

    – We also have another plugin called WPC Composite Products for WooCommerce, which is a kit-building plugin. In a deal, you can set up both optional and required items, with flexible pricing methods: only base price, include/exclude base price.

You can rename a component and set a new price in percentage or use an amount. Users can add multiple products to each component, but only 1 item can be selected from the list for each component.

There are a variety of sources for users to pull various products at once to each components using product tags, categories, attributes (color, size, …), brands, etc.

Hopefully, my explanations are helpful enough. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. I’m happy to help

i’v tried the composite plugin but i have two questions, one is why if I insert a composite product the main product selection (size) disappears?

Second question is if I can put the composite product as a drop down menu selection of one or another?

    Dear @letywebdev,

#1/ Can you provide us the sreenshots of back-end settings and product link to check and help you?

#2/ No. All products created by WPC Product Bundles, WPC Composite Products, or WPC Grouped Product plugin are of equivalent product types. You can observe that fact when choosing a product type from the Product Data drop-down list.

Therefore, smart bundles, composite products, and smart grouped products CANNOT be added inside one another. Even if you can search for and add them in the back-end, but in the front-end, they won’t be visible or functional as normal.

In order to add extra items to a Smart Bundle, Composite Product, or Smart Grouped, you can use WPC Frequently Bought Together or WPC Force Sells plugin. After installing these plugins, users can add extra products in the Bought Together tab or Force Sells tab.

    Regards,
