• Hi folks,

    I’ve been having issues keeping my site live for the past month and a half now. My blog keeps spiking my shared hosts cpu and ends up getting my site shut off. It seems that I can’t put together 3 days of up time before I’m deactivated.

    I believe my site has been hacked. Initially I just thought WP was a big old CPU hog, but since I’ve now reinstalled it for the 3rd time I think I may have other issues. So I’m posting here in the hopes that someone might have some sort of input as I’m running out of ideas what to do.

    Here are a few things I’ve tried thus far to make my site lighter and at the same time more secure.

    * Reinstalled WordPress 3 Times
    * Updated WP File Permissions
    * Removed plugins
    * Banned possible offending IP’s
    * Removed all large files
    * Installed WP Super Cache
    * Changed my admin login info
    * Reduced my database calls form 52 to 8
    * Altered my .htaccess file
    * Installed several security plugins
    * Updated My SQL prefixes
