help to force users to refresh cache

    hi guys!

    Unfortunately some users are complaining that they cannot see new posts (at homepage) for several days. Regarding that, I’m trying to manage cached files with Quick Cache that seems to do a great job (I really found the interface very didactic). After installation I thought that the problem would be solved, but it was not and some (old and loyal) users that experimented the same errors before, kept complaining.

    I’m looking for a diferente solution of asking theses users to clear cache manually.

    IMO this error was caused by some wrong header deployed before with wrong cache metadata config for expiration.

    does the pro version would help me?

    Hi @fhorta,

    The Lite version of Quick Cache does not automatically clear the Home Page Cache (that’s a Pro feature). You currently need to click the “Clear Cache” button if you want to clear the Home Page Cache with Quick Cache Lite.

    I understand that clicking “Clear Cache” every time can become quite tiresome, so I’m adding a new feature to Quick Cache Lite very soon that will allow you to automatically clear the entire cache when publishing or updating a post. See: https://github.com/WebSharks/Quick-Cache/issues/40

    @fhorta A new feature was added to the latest version of Quick Cache (v131224) that includes auto-purging of the Home Page cache and the Posts Page cache:

    New Lite Enhancement. The Home Page cache and Posts Page cache are now automatically purged when necessary (such as when a new post is published). See: https://github.com/WebSharks/Quick-Cache/issues/40
