    Greetings,

I have recently set up WordPress MU with the domain mapping plugin and it seems to be working great. Now we’re trying to get uploaded files to show up and that is not working. I’ve verified the .htaccess file matches what we should have for WP3.5+

Basically we want to use a google verification html file; for example google_filename.html. I’ve put it in wp-content/uploads/sites/##/2013/03/ as well as simply wp-content/uploads/sites/## and even wp-content/ but I have not been able to find how to access this file through site ## (20 in this case) unless I put the google file in the wordpress root, then I can access that file through the site’s url/google_filename.html

I’ve read and re-read the instructions and searched the forums, I’m at a loss as to where these files should appear through the mapped url or how to see where wordpress is looking when I access a given url such as url/files/google_filename.html or url/files/2013/03/google_filename.html

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

OK I figured it out by uploading an image through the site’s dashboard and seeing where wordpress puts it.

    /wp-content/uploads/sites/20/2013/03/google_filename.html

it seems that I had looked there earlier and wordpress told me it wasn’t found, but I must have been confused, because sure enough, there it is.
