Help with 301 redirect
-
I am in the process of updating our site with the latest version of wordpress, having been using an old version for the past 3 years.
One thing that became apparent is that the latest versions don’t work with the ultimate tag warrior plugin.
Not a huge problem as I have successfully imported all the old tags.
What I would like to do is make sure that all the old tag urls are 301 redirected to the new structure (unless I can force the wordpress tag urls to be the same?).
The old urls are:
http://www.url-here.co.uk/index.php?tag=wordpressthe new structure is:
http://www.url-here.co.uk/?tag=wordpressIs there anyone who can suggest a line to add to the .htaccess file to ensure that any of the old tag urls are redirected (301) to the new structure?
Alternatively, can I force wordpress to include the ‘index.php’ in the urls for the new system?
Thank you in advance,
Joe
