That theme does not need an archive.php – the code that is usually in archive.php is included in index.php for that theme.
I haven’t been able to figure out what is wrong, but there is information about posts being put into the archive pages. It is just not showing up because of various CSS settings as far as I can tell.
Examine the source of the September archive page and you will see things like ‘post-195’ and ‘post-181’.
Thanks for taking a look at that vtxyzzy. I’m still very confused and don’t know how to proceed. Anyone else have any ideas???
THANKS!
I am using the theme *no frills* as a base layout and there is no archive.php.

I am trying to figure out why my archive links don’t work on the left column. Can someone just send me an archive.php to upload to my server? I’m really not sure if it’s as easy as that. I would greatly appreciate any help on this topic. Right now the links to the posts by MONTH are not working (left side).

Thank you!!!
As I tried to explain before, the code for the archives is included in index.php. You do not need a separate archive.php.
The links are working, you just can’t see the results because of something else in the theme. More than likely it is in the CSS.
If you use a separate archive.php and it follows the theme, it will give the same results. If it does not follow the theme, it will not look right.
Try uploading a fresh copy of style.css to see if the problem goes away.
