Hi,

I’m attempting to transfer a wordpress site to a new host (on HostGator) using the duplicator plug-in. The extraction and upload to my new host and domain works fine. However, when I click on Admin Login, I get redirected to a dead page (404). When I go to the cPanel for the root of the new host, I can see many critical files such as wp-admin are not transferred over. So I suspect the issue may be related to my package not being generated corrected.

Someone suggested there may be some element of my current host’s setup that is restricting the package from being created correctly. Does anyone have any clue as to what this may be and what I can do? Is it something that can be changed in cPanel of my current host?

UPDATE: I have figured it out. Basically the storage of my original host was nearly full, so duplicator could not properly create the export archive package. I deleted some unneeded content and was able to generate the proper package. Just posting this in case anyone has a similar issue in the future and this may be helpful.

Hey @minjones,

I would double-check the contents of the archive.zip file and make sure all the files are there. If they are then it’s possible you may have a permissions issue on the host. This FAQ item may help with that:
