Help with setting up Facebook App

    Hoping someone can point me to up to date instructions for setting up the Facebook App required – every tutorial I find says choose web as the platform – there are no platform choices when I try, just a choice of ‘products’ – which one to choose? And do I really need a Privacy Policy for feeding public Facebook events to my site?
