Help with Themes

    Hi everyone,

    Im new to ww.wp.xz.cn and trying to get started with a god beginner theme for a Personal Blog.

    After hours researching themes, styles, reviews, support, maintenance, free vs paid etc etc I came across Personal Blogily as it showed as an “advertisement” of sorts on my theme tab within WordPress today. It looks clean and simple so I thought “great”.

    However when I activate it, and go to use it, it doesnt look much like what is shown as the theme example. Theres a lot of empty space, and it doesnt seem I can even change the font of the title?

    The theme is by SuperbThemes and somehow I found myself on their website and it looks like the theme is not free.

    So I’m confused, do I have to pay extra to be able to customise this theme? Is there a list of themes that is free and completely editable/customisable from WordPress?

    I was hoping for a theme that I can click on any content, delete the example text or image, change the font and the size if I want and add my own images etc. Kind of like when you are using MS Word, wherever you put the cursor is what your font and size will be when you type

    Or is this not how themes work? How do we know how customisable the themes are that are listed under “Appearance”, is that what the filter “Full Site Editing” is for?

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Many themes promote their own product with pre-built views – views you can achieve with this theme, but rarely a way to get there is described. Very few also provide demo content with which the website is initially filled. For example, I am currently only aware of Astra, where you can load prefabricated “Startertemples” that make this quite simple.

    If you have questions about a theme and its usage, you should contact its support. Here in the general support forum one can help there due to the multiplicity of Themes only conditionally. The support for your chosen theme can be found here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/theme/personalblogily/
