Hemingway theme causing problems w/ admin pages
-
Hello,
I’m running WordPress 2.0.5 w/ PHP5.0 and a modified version of the Hemingway theme. The site works well except for the following:1) The administrative pages are flaky and whenever I post an update, the page just goes blank (i.e., all white).
2) If I’m not already logged in, then I can’t even get to the admin pages. For example, entering http://<site>/wp-admin just results in the page – again – going blank. Somehow, being logged in let’s met get to the admin pages. Perhaps the problem has to do w/ not being able to display the log-in page which is not needed if I’m already logged in?
3) Whenever a comment is posted (or a new article, or an edit) the page goes blank. In other words, anything involving a post causes problems.
I know my WordPress install is OK because I need only change the theme to default (or any number of other themes) and everything behaves correctly. So my question is what is about a theme that could cause these types of problems? Since the themes have no bearing on the look of the WP-admin pages I’m would think that none of the theme pages would have an influence on the behavior of the admin pages. Obviously, I’m wrong so what’s the link between the two?
Thanks much,
-Roland.
