Hero image issue

    Hi,

    first, I want to thank for this great plugin.

    I’m using it to have different hero images for desktop or mobile.

    In GSI or Lighthouse, when I’m using using this function, I can see that on mobile, it loads also the not visible hero of the desktop version.

    Is there a way to avoid this? It is affecting also LCP.

    Hi @azzurres,

    Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, there is no way to avoid this. The image are hidden via CSS, but they are still both loaded on the page. To reduce the effect on Lighthouse and LCP, I would make sure the images are compressed as much as possible.
