• Why am I, more or less, forced to install Security Ninja (Premium) every time I update other plugins? It totally screws up the “new updates available” notifications for the ones who don’t use the premium version. It’s an unwanted hidden “feature” that’s not mentioned in their faq/docs and I simply want it to shut up.

    Hi @bobf000

Thanks for your positive feedback! I get that it’s frustrating when update notifications don’t behave as expected, especially if you’re not using the premium version.

Just to clarify, we don’t “force” anyone to install Security Ninja Premium 🙂 What’s likely happening is that sometimes the premium version gets released before the free version, which can cause a mismatch in version numbers and trigger update notifications – even if you’re only using the free version.

Your message actually reminded me to push the latest free version update, so this should resolve the issue for you (and others) once the update makes its way through the system to your site.

We appreciate you using the free version of WP Security Ninja, and your feedback (positive or otherwise!) helps us keep improving it for everyone.

If you have any more questions or run into other issues, feel free to let us know. You’re welcome 🙂
