I’m using the hide content shortcode to protect content for specific memberships. Should I be able to see the content as an admin? Or is this not bypassed like the courses an other content?

(having the option to “view site as” and choose a membership level would be cool!)

  • @jkstech,

Currently the shortcode isn’t taking the preview (view as) functionality into account. I’ve recorded this as a bug here: https://github.com/gocodebox/lifterlms/issues/697

To work around this you’ll have to actually belong to the membership to view the content and if you “View as visitor” when you are enrolled it will display the content anyway.

Sorry about this… you can pretty easily test the visitor view by switching to a private browsing session although that does make it complicated to preview if you’re restricting nested content (eg adding this shortcode within a lesson).

I’m sorry… This is a bug. I’ll do my best to get this fixed in the near future.

Also noted the feature request to “View as member level” has been added to our internal request tracking system. I’ll report back here if we add it for public voting or move it into development.

    Best,
