I’ve recently started PowerPress to generate an extra podcast feed on my website. My original podcast feed is generated by SoundCloud and I’ve set up PowerPress to generate a podcast channel for specific episodes.

The new feed for the channel is: http://www.chutandoaescada.com.br/feed/elas-chutando-a-escada/

All seems to be working well, but the problem is that in my original posts I always enconde the SoundCloud player at the very beginning of the post. When PowerPress generates the channel feed, it includes the SoundCloud player as encoded content. The result in the podcast apps is a huge blank space before the actual content starts.

Is there a way to avoid PowerPress to include the SoundCLoud player on the feed?

    Thanks in advance!

    Try this:

In the settings for WordPress, go to the reading menu. In there click “Summary” inistead of full text where it talks about syndcation feeds include. Save changes.

Thank you Mike. I’ve actually solved it with a different workaround.

I deleted the SoundCloud shortcode from the original post and embedded the SC shortcode instead through the options in the PowerPress menu.

After some testing and playing around with the various options, it worked just fine!

    Thanks a lot!
