• Hello,

We have the “Hide from Search” plugin (by @wpscholar) installed and active to help with hiding products we don’t want our customers to be able to search for on our site. It has been working really well until recently when we noticed that products that should be hidden can now be searched. I tried troubleshooting – keeping only the bare minimum plugins active and the products are still searchable. Is there any suggestion for what more I can do? This is important to us.
    Thanks so much.

  • When does this started to happen?
Maybe the WP core was updated or the plugin.

Also, did you check that both WP and plugins are updated? Or maybe, it is a cache problem, have you tried disabling this?

    Hi @learningtheharp

I recommend asking at https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/mpress-hide-from-search/#new-post so the plugin’s developers and support community can help you with this.

    Hope it helps.

Thank you so much for the advice.

@sebaocano thanks for the possible problems. I checked and there has been no update for the plugin since we activated it on our site in April 2022, so I don’t think that is the problem. I also checked to see if it was visible in a private window and I could still search for the products and we have a very dynamic website and so don’t use cache because things are changing all the time – so I don’t think this could be the problem.

Thank you @cbravobernal, I will post it on that forum now.
