Hi,
That’s normal, and that’s not because of this plugin 🙂 It’s simply because there is an ALT text associated with this image, which is not only normal, but also recommended for many reasons (SEO and accessibility, mainly).

Thanks for your prompt reply….
Just to be sure… there is no way we keep the ALT text and not show it on hover?
Hi,
The only way would be to write a script to remove all the “titles” and “alt” after the page has been loaded; that way, Google would probably use them, but they would be removed while the user is browsing the page 🙂 But definitely not recommended.

Thanks a lot for confirming Jordy about the ALT text, I understand its importance.
However, just for the purpose of making sure the ALT text was what was bothering me, I removed the alt text of the first photo of the gallery on this page: https://www.sylben.net/se-rencontrer/
and the name of the photo still shows on hover!
FYI, this never occurs in the galleries when I haven’t added any links to the photos, even though they also have a ALT text, as seen on this page:
if you scroll to year 1994, there is a gallery, these photos that don’t have a link and the name of the photos don’t show on hover….

My understanding is that when the photo in the gallery has a link URL associated to it, then the name of the photo shows on hover…. Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance for following up
