hide/show title icon missing

I used the hide/show title feature to hide page titles a long time ago. Now I want to show the title, but the hide/show eye icon is missing. Is there a way to get it back? I noticed several people having this issue a couple of years ago, but don’t know how/if it was resolved. Thanks!
