    Hi,

    I’m using your plugin together with your other plugin “Client Portal” and on the private page of each user, users can edit their profile. However, I don’t want to display all fields which the user filled out on the registration form, but only specific ones.

    For example, if users register on my site, they have to fill out the fields “Name, Password, Mail”. At the moment, these three fields can then be edited on the private page of each user. But I want to display e.g. only the fields “Name” and “Password” and hide the field “Mail”.

    How can I achieve this?

    Thanks,
    Dennis

    Hi Dennis,

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    From your explanation I understand that you would like to make the Email field User Locked, meaning that the user can’t edit it after Registration. Is this correct?

    Inside the free version of Profile Builder we don’t have this feature but you can hide the field by using .css – display:none;

    An alternative would be Profile Builder Pro that has the Multiple Registration and Edit Profile Forms modules. With these module you can create custom registration and edit profile forms for different user roles with different user fields.

    Also you could use the Field Visiblity add-on (docs) to make an Input field, that uses the same meta name as the Default Email Address Field, to be User Locked.

    You can test Profile Builder Pro on our demo install.

    Let me know if this information helped you.

    Best regards,
