Hiding fields from displaying publicly

Hello – is there a way to prevent a field from being displayed for all entries in the public directory? For example, if I wanted to hide every entry’s bio or their personal email, is there a way to do that for all entries at once? I understand that I can go into each entry and change the visibility from public to private, but I couldn’t find a way to do more than one at a time.
