I have a different publicly displayed name for my admin so nobody knows the username of my admin (it is not clive).

When I create a post if you hover over the author, it shows where the link goes to at the bottom of the browser.

    https://www.asociaciongirasol.com/es/blog-inicial/

If you hover over the words por clive1 you see the real username in this case it is clive.

I have started getting people trying to login using the username, when they get blocked it blocks my username as well.

Is there a way to change this please?.

  • Hi @clivesmith,

I believe you will see the same thing even when you use the default WordPress theme. So, this is not specific to the theme. However, to me, your concern is valid. People can see your username by looking at the link.

Maybe you can raise a question on Fixing WordPress Forum. And since this is not related to Astra, please mark this thread as Resolved. If you need anything else related to Astra, feel free to start a new thread.

    Kind regards,
    Herman 😊

Hi, I put this on the wordpress fixing forum first and was told it was due to the theme which is why I put it here. I will go back to them.
