I’m sorry to hear you’re seeing CPU spikes, however WPForms doesn’t do heavy processing and should have a negligible impact on CPU.
To track down the source of this increase in CPU, I’d recommend a couple options:
– Monitoring WordPress cron events (here’s a tutorial from WPBeginner that shows how you could do this). That way you could see if CPU spikes when a cron event is running.
– Contacting your site’s hosting provider. Though I’m not familiar with potential impacts on CPU, we’ve seen server configuration issues (such as misconfiguration of email sending functionality) that can cause significant loading issues. Your site’s host should be able to investigate this and any other potential causes further (and if you’re able to gather any useful cron data, it’d be a good idea to share that with them, too).
