If I want to add or remove text from a slide background like for instance, the split slider demo shows the word PROJECTS in a shaded background overlay. The first text is Projects, then Services, etc.. how would I go about doing that.

In the mean time, I spent the last 4 hours trying to figure this out but If I hadn’t of just cut off all but a half inch of my hair a few days ago then my beard, some ice cream and my monitors would be smashed into my floor in about 600 pieces along with whatever hair I WOULD have had..
Maybe it’s just my patience looking for where to do this has gone out the window with my sanity or it’s not really marked and easily identifiable..

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi @natekolvek!

I’m sorry, these do cause troubles at our other users too, so we will try to figure out something, in case we could change our slide editor design in the future.

To access these texts, you should open up the layer list:
    https://smartslider.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1815-layer-list
and select them from there. Or on this layer list, if you press the little icon before the “Content” layer to hide it temporarily in the editor, then you can select those heading layers on the slide too.

The reason why it has to be this way, because we have two layer position modes, default and absolute:
    https://smartslider.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1916-slide-editing-in-smart-slider-3
They have completely different responsive behaviors, absolute positioned layers are not taking up space, they are just floating, while default positioned layers are taking up space, they won’t go over each other and the slide’s minimum height is defined by them too. Default positioning happens from the content layer, which usually covers the entire slide. We have to decide which will go on top, either the content layer, or either the absolute positioned layers, and with this template slider’s design, we put the absolute layer behind the content layer, that is why you can only access it from the layer list.

If you will have further questions, please rather contact us here:
    https://smartslider3.com/contact-us/support/
because this forum’s rules doesn’t allow the Pro version of our plugin to be supported, and the Split slider is from the Pro version, so our communication might will be moderated here.

Wow, what a way to nerverackingly hide that layer, LOL! I can’t thank you enough.
