Historical data import issue

Hello,

I’m experiencing an issue with the WooCommerce Admin’s historical data import. The import process for customers and orders doesn’t complete and continuously sends hundreds of thousands of requests every 5 seconds. I don’t need to recover these historical data, and I simply want to stop the process.

When I click the “Interrupt import” button, the process appears to stop, but it automatically restarts as soon as I leave the page. This is causing excessive server load.

Could you please help me permanently stop the import process and prevent it from restarting on its own?

Thank you for reaching out.

I understand that you’re experiencing an issue with the WooCommerce Admin’s historical data import. To permanently stop the import process, you can try the following steps:
1. Navigate to WooCommerce > Status > Scheduled Actions.
2. Look for any pending actions, use the ‘Cancel’ action link to stop them.
Please note that these steps should prevent the import process from restarting on its own. I hope this helps.

Hi @ckadenge thank for your reply.

Unfortunatly i have around 100k orders. I can’t delete manually all pending scheduled actions.

But i already deleted them in SQL, all of them and it always restarting by it’s own. For now i have disabled stats because in only 2 days i have like 1.000.000 schedulded actions complete. This is crazy. But i obviously need theses stats for my business. Is there a way to shut it down the restart ?

Thank you for your reply.

I understand you’re experiencing an issue where the import process for customers and orders keeps restarting automatically, sending numerous requests every few seconds, even after you’ve tried interrupting and deleting pending actions through SQL.

This behavior is unusual, as 100k orders should not normally cause such issues in WooCommerce.
To assist you further, please send a copy of your site’s System Status Report.
You can find it under WooCommerce > Status, then select Get system report and Copy for support.

Once I have more information, I will be in a better position to determine the cause and suggest a solution.

Thank you for your reply.

I reviewed the report and noticed 48 active plugins on your site.
It’s worth checking if the issue continues with only essential plugins enabled.

I also noticed the “Object Cache 4 Everyone” plugin.
Did you install this, or does your hosting server provide it?
It appears the server is adding another Object Cache automatically.

Additionally, I see both the Legacy API and HPOS are enabled, which are incompatible.
Is there a reason for using the WooCommerce Legacy REST API plugin?

At this point, I recommend setting up a staging site to perform a Conflict Test.
This should help identify and resolve the issue.

thanks for your reply, i tried to disabled plugin and also HPOS but i’m still stuck on last orders imports:

Clients enregistrés importées 13200 sur 13178

Commandes et remboursements importées 28953 sur 29349

I don’t understand because there is more customers than expected (13200) and when 28953 orders is reached no more are imported

Thank you for your reply.

I understand you’re still seeing discrepancies with the import counts.

If you are not using the WooCommerce Legacy REST API plugin, try enabling the HPOS and allow time for the order data to sync.

After sync, check WooCommerce > Status > Scheduled Actions for failed actions.
Also, check WooCommerce > Status > Logs for any related errors.
