hit with a syntax error

    Hi there,
    I’m new to WP and was trying to upload a free theme to use. Unfortunately, I was shown a syntax error that keeps coming up and has locked me out of my WP site.
    any help will be most appreciated…thanks

    here’s the error:
    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘{‘ in /home/oncea3/public_html/msrossi/wp-content/themes/skymag/functions.php on line 11

    the theme that you try to use have a error in php code try another one or try to solve it if you know php, or report a bug to the theme author.

    FTP into your site (or use whatever file management application your host provides) and delete the current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes.
