• Since two months ago all the links to my blog shared on Facebook have a long address after the right link, added by Facebook. But when people read using that long string the counter of WP Statistics doesn’t take into account those hits. So I was scared of having lost a lot of readers, but that was not true because my web hosting counter showed me regular numbers.
Why doesn’t WP Statistics count anymore the hits coming from Facebook?

  • I second this question and recommand that “?fbcid=*” string be removed from links when making statistics. Because this makes every fb click on a link looks like a new page. It must be fixed because it makes this statistics useless.

    Hey didatticarte,
In plugin settings->General there is option “Strip parameters from URI”

“This will remove anything after the ? in a URL.”
I think this will solve our problem.
