Home Icon Hover

So I am having trouble with the hover effects of the home icon.

I have put custom images as my icons. These custom images do not fill in the circle of the icon entirely.

I was able to change the hover effect when the mouse is over the actual icon.

I can not seem to change the hover effect of the icon when I hover over the Title and Body text associated with that icon.

So when I have my mouse on the text my icon fills with the primary color and when I move my mouse over the icon it turns white. I would love for it to stay white the entire time.
