Can you try a standard theme like TwentyTwentyFive? If the editor loads there, it is a problem with the theme you are actually using.
If this does not narrow down the cause, I would recommend checking the error log in the hosting to see if there is anything there. Because what you are describing is often caused by a server-side error. Your hoster’s support can help you find the error log.
Also have a look under Tools > Site Health to see if there are any anomalies.
