• Hi everyone,

I have a frustrating problem with my home page. I am using divi builder for editing the site.

I seem to have 3 different ‘home pages’ which display at different times.

When I first log in to the wordpress dashboard I get a 404 page not found error. Some people see this as their home page. However, the main nav menu is displayed on this page and clicking the home link did take you to the correct page.

Today I installed woocommerce. It installed the storefront theme, which I didn’t require as I wanted to use divi builder store. I deleted the storefront theme.

However, now when I click ‘HOME’ in the main nav menu I get a storefront template page.

This is showing up as homepage – the sound therapy company in the chrome browser tab

The page I wish to display shows as Home – the sound therapy company in the browser tab

I also have this 3rd – page not found error

I have checked all the usual home page settings, in wordpress dashboard – settings – reading; in the divi theme settings, these all seem to be set up as they should be.

There are obviously some coding conflicts going on here that I can’t work out.

Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    Many Thanks Craig

  • It might be partly a caching issue, or a plugin conflict. You are going to need to work with your hosting company or a maintenance service to figure this out if you lack the technical skill. You could try the Site Health and Troubleshooting plugin to disable plugins and themes and isolate the source of the issue though. Good luck!

    Hi Malcolm,

thanks for your response. I seem to have sorted one problem. I think that was a caching issue. So just down to 2 home pages now !! ha ha.

I did install that plug-in, it was recommended on the yoast seo website. I suppose that’s the next job for me.

    I’ll keep you updated.

    Cheers Craig
