Are you using Custom AMP frontpage?
No, we are not using a custom AMP frontpage. We just have the Homepage set to shows posts for Design 3. The homepage never loads. Everything else works fine.

I’m sorry to hear that. Was it working before the update?
Yes, it worked fine before the update. Had to downgrade to 0.9.74.1 to get it working again. You can recreate the error by updating to 0.9.83, using Design 3 (not sure if other designs are effected also), enable support for homepage, but do NOT choose a custom front page (home page is just recent posts).
Just updated to the latest version and clicking on the homepage gives the following error:
Fatal error: in /wp-content/mu-plugins/wpengine-common/patterns.php on line 481
Apparently, the plugin doesn’t work properly anymore with WP Engine, which will effect alot of websites that host with them. Please test your plugin on WP Engine
I’m not sure what exactly you changed in the code in 0.9.83.1 vs 0.9.74.1 to render the homepage (not custom, with posts), but it no longer works. Had to downgrade again to 0.9.74.1 to get the site to work properly again.
Sorry, to continue the post. But, the error above also occurs when you set a Custom Homepage. The page just won’t load. Runs out of memory. Please see what you changed for homepage code from earlier version to the new one, because you can’t access the homepage anymore on new versions. I’m sure alot of people will have this same problem.

We’ve emailed your support. I’m pretty sure alot of people are having this problem or are maybe they are not aware yet of the problem. If you upgrade to the latest version, the homepage will not load. Your developers changed some code related to the display of the frontpage, and it doesn’t work.
