    I’ve been trying to create horizontal menus with the aim of having my Pages displayed at the top of the screen instead of in the sidebar but I’ve run into difficulties.

    I’ve been using the codex (http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Creating_Horizontal_Menus) but using the CSS and instructions there doesn’t want to work on my blog.

    Help!

    Essentially, I think there is something in my CSS that overrides the navmenu stuff as it won’t pick up the new styling at all – not even on the links.

    You have ‘text-align:center;’ in your #head

    Another way of doing this would be to reduce the header size vertically by say 20px, then add the menu between the header and content. That keeps the styling for each area completely separate.
    You’d just need to add a menu div in your header template.
