• On the website I’m working on, some pages show a horizontal scroll bar. I believe I have the CSS showing a max-width of 100%, so I believed it was my margins, padding, etc. that was pushing it beyond the “screen.” I added box-sizing: border-box where I thought it was applicable and it made no difference. When I load any page, I’m still seeing a horizontal scroll bar. I have since removed the border-box sizing.

How can I prevent this from happening on my pages? They all use a “full width template page.”

  • Hi there – I’mnot seeing any horizontal scrolling. Did you get this sorted?

If you’re still seeing it, could you:

    – provide a link to a couple of pages or posts where getting the horizontal scrolling
    – tell me what browser and version you’re using
    – tell me the browser window width

If you’re not sure about the last two, please visit http://supportdetails.com/

    Hi,

I was wondering if someone can help me remove the horizontal scrollbar at the bottom of my website: http://www.edownloadshop.com

I have tried some of the code posted in this forum but is not working. I would really appreciate it if someone can help.

    Many thanks
    Felix

@felix27 – this forum is specific to the Karuna theme, but you’re using For The Cause. Any code you use will need to be specific to your own theme. You can try requesting help from the theme developer, or posting in the general Themes forum here:

There is a horizontal scrollbar on mobile devices in portrait. If I had to guess the width, it would be between 375px-700px.

Browsers I tested and still saw them: Safari, Firefox and Chrome.

The scrollbar appears on all non-blog pages on mobile.

Thank you for taking a look.

@kmmaccar – could you please provide a link to your site running Karuna?

What mobile operating system and version is your device running?

What specific type of device is it where you’re seeing horizontal scrolling

    Thanks!

Hi there, I checked your site on my iPhone 6s Plus, and also on my Samsung Android device in Chrome, and in both of them I’m seeing that I can swipe left or right and get movement although it returns to center by itself. I don’t see this behavior on the Karuna demo site, so I’m thinking it may possibly be a plugin causing it. Can you temporarily disable the Nextend Smart Slider and see if that fixes the issue? If it does not, can you disable all plugins and then test and see if the issue is still there? You may have to clear your browser cache on your phone to make sure that it isn’t using cached data.
