As the title said, this plugin is a site killer, i’ve seen it in multiple sites and the performance dropped from 30% to over 50% with it, sometimes even worse.

The issue is that it’s loading EVERYTHING on EVERY page even when not on any donation page.

Years ago you mentioned having plans to work on performance, but the state hasn’t changed.

I checked on every page, this makes the disk check 10k+ paths and files (it even multiplies with addons), even with a properly configured PHP opcache that’s still insanely slow..

I’m glad you reached out.

When we release new versions, we try to improve overall performance, but we don’t have a specific work program to focus exclusively on performance. We certainly want to improve this.

The reason why assets load globally is to support pages with forms created with shortcodes or page builders.

However, if you really don’t need those assets except on GiveWP pages then you can use this plugin to dequeue scripts and styles.

I’m not mainly talking about assets but that the whole givewp code is loaded as well, maybe there’s some logic to implement to avoid loading all the code on all pages, it takes disk and cpu time to process all the php code, this can significantly increase the ttfb of the WP pages.
