Hi Thea,
We should be able to provide some custom CSS that will ensure captions are always displayed on mobile.
@steveush – are you able to assist with this?
Hi @dorothy1508,
I’m just following up on your request.
Currently the “Show captions on hover” option hides captions on mobile. However, if visitors touch and hold each image then the captions will appear without opening the image in the lightbox.
As you’ve noticed there’s no way to identify when images are being looked at on mobile without a mouse pointer to track so this is the solution we have provided.
With regard to the custom CSS I mentioned above – that falls outside the scope of support we can provide for our free plugins. If you are premium plugin customer would you please lodge a request with the premium support helpdesk and we’ll see if we can assist with some custom CSS if you’d like captions to always show on mobile.
Thank you!
Hi there, I have exactly the same problem.
My pictures shown in the homepage and in the gallery page, have a hover effect on the desktop view.
Nevertheless, on tablets and mobile devises, I cannot see the title of the pictures, since they don’t have mouse.
Is there somehow I can force tablets and mobile devises to double tap (one tap to see the title and another tap to enter the custom URL)?
I guess it’s a simple CSS code or something, but I’m stuggling to find a solution.

Thanks in advance!
