No worries at all, we’re happy to help!
Yes, you can use animated GIFs as gallery images, and they will display as animated thumbnails. However, please note that GIFs will loop continuously rather than playing only on hover.
If you’re looking for hover-specific animations, the Gallery Settings include an option to enable hover effects. When a user hovers over a thumbnail, an overlay can appear with details like the title, description, link, and zoom buttons. While this doesn’t animate the image itself, it does add an interactive effect.
For video-based animations, you might consider using the YouTube Gallery mode. When enabled, the gallery will pre-load video thumbnails that sometimes include a short preview animation, depending on YouTube’s available previews.
Let us know if you’d like help setting this up or if you’re looking for a different kind of effect!
Thanks for the input. I already have the Hover effect turned on that shows the name of the item. Your other suggestions are not quite what I’m looking for.
Thanks again
