How are attached files handled?

Hi,

We like the idea of Flamingo, as a extra to not loose any important messages.
We will be using contact form 7 for a couple of signup forms for a school website, so it is important all messages are stored.
Some of these forms will have photo attachments, As I understand the documentation, these photo’s will not be saved on the server by contact form 7. This is what we want, as this would cost to much storage.
How does flamingo handle these photo attachments to a message?
And if they are stored, can we somehow prevent/skip this?
The other form information is important, the photo is an extra.
