Under General Settings > uncheck all options for “Add related posts to”.
The default styles should work for the shortcode as well. What are you trying to format?
https://github.com/ajaydsouza/contextual-related-posts/blob/master/css/default-style.css
I would rather like this option to remain activated for all posts. But I have only a couple of posts that belong together. They have almost the same post title e.g. “my post 1 – outlook”, “my post 2 – word” or “my post 3 – excel” etc.
I wanted to create something like custom related posts, which should only show these related posts at end of an article. Adding a shortcode like:
[crp limit=”9″ heading=”1″ cache=”0″]
I thought this would be a suitable solution, but now I have these custom related posts plus the normal ones, from “Add related posts to:” option below. The custom related posts have another formatting that the rest of the posts text has.
I would appreciate, if you would have a solution for this problem, without editing the css.

I don’t understand what you mean by custom related posts. Isn’t it just easier to link to the 3 posts you like?
CRP is geared towards pulling relevant posts based on content and title. If your posts are in a particular category or tag, you can use an addon to CRP available at https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/crp-taxonomy/
Is there an example URL / set of screenshots I can look at to better understand?
I am sorry! English is not my native language. how can I provide some screenshots?
I am evaluating some plugins and therefore you can see the problem only on my local machine.

You can take a screenshot and save it somewhere online.
e.g. http://snag.gy/
I like http://www.techsmith.com/jing.html as a tool to share.
Hey,
I have found a solution through another plugin. Just tell me how or if I can deactivate crp for single posts.
