• I had to move my WordPress blog from one web host to another and somehow lost the ability to post and receive comments. Everything else works.
When I make a test comment and click the Say It button, this error messaage is displayed:
    —————————————
    Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
    Apache/2.0.48 (Fedora) Server at http://www.ripple.ca Port 80
    ——————————————-
When I look at the server error logs, I see this sort of thing:
    ——————————————-
[error] … malformed header from script. Bad header=/home/mydomain/dead.letter… Sa: php-script
    ——————————————-
Any suggestions for a way to restore comments? I am using version 1.2

My problem is solved. It turns out that the security settings for my account at WebServe.ca were set to High Security and I needed to have them set to 3.1 Compatible in order to WordPress to work properly. The server adminstrator made the change for me and my email notification/approval functions are working again.
