  • Hi Kevinc4m,

As far as I know the default Calendar Widget does not support custom post types, and there’s no way to change that. Pippin Williamson made a good plugin for this few years ago, though I’m not sure it’s up to date: https://pippinsplugins.com/custom-post-type-calendar-widget/

    Hi Charlie,

    thanks for the advice.

The problem with custom post type calendar widgets is that they always link to http://www.mysite.com/movies/2015/05. But your plugin creates the links like this: http://www.mysite.com/movies/date/2015-05.

To you have any idea how i can display any kind of calendar widget where users can see how many movies has been released for example on may 15th and also can click on that date and see the list of this movies?

    Best regards

Oh, ok, I didn’t get that you meant a release-date-based calendar. So no, unfortunately, to the best of my knowledge such a Widget does not exists.

Sounds like a lot of fun, though, that’s something I’ll try to build on the side when I have some spare time!
