Our website is not accessible and I think this is because of W3 Total Cache Plugin.

    This page isn’t working
is currently unable to handle this request.
    HTTP ERROR 500

I am using version 0.9.7 of W3TC and WordPress Version 4.9.8

Can you give any idea how to fix this, it’s been 2 hours since our website is down?

    Hello@redshotalpha,

Please Purge all caches in W3 Total Cache and save all settings
    Try to Reload Ctrl-R
Even if the 500 Internal Server Error is a problem on the web server, the issue might just be temporary. Trying the page again will often be successful.

Make sure that you do not have any other caching plugin enabled as that can result as a conflict.

    Clear your browser’s cache.
    Delete your browser’s cookies.
Also, check your file permissions and your .htaccess if it’s properly structured

    Hello Marko,

Thank you for your response. Our website is now UP after restarting the server.

Our WordPress configuration looks like this:
    WC version: 3.3.1
    WP version: 4.9.8
    WP memory limit: 256 MB

    Server environment
    Server info: Microsoft-IIS/10.0
    PHP version: 7.0.31
PHP post max size: 8 MB
    PHP time limit: 300
    PHP max input vars: 1000

It’s the third time already that the website experienced HTTP Error 500 but we don’t want to restart our server every time.

Do you think this is a matter of Memory Limit(256MB) or just the W3 Total Cache having compatibility issues?

    Hello,
W3 Total Cache does work with ISS. It shouldn’t have compatibility issues. W3 Total Cache detects IIS installation and installs another config.
As there are only a few people using IIS, it might have some issues as it is not checked thoroughly.
Maybe restarting the server is what was needed for the new rules to be written.
