    Hi everyone,

I hope you all are having a great day.

So SportsPress is not functioning properly (The calendar and player list are not working) since my sponsor switched host, and now I have this warning at the top of my website

Your theme has bundled outdated copies of SportsPress template files – if you encounter functionality issues on the frontend this could the reason. Ensure you update or remove them (in general we recommend only bundling the template files you actually need to customize). See the system report for full details.”

I think this is why its not working, but I am unsure how to do that. If any of you could tell me where to go it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hi @glacius ,

That warning indicates your active theme includes old SportsPress template files that are overriding the plugin’s up-to-date templates, which can break features like the calendar and player list.

First, check the System Status (SportsPress -> Settings -> System Status) to see exactly which template files are outdated. Then:

    1. Locate your theme’s SportsPress override folder.
      This is typically at /wp-content/themes/your-theme/sportspress/.
    2. Remove or update the listed templates.
      • To remove: simply delete the outdated template files from that folder so the plugin will fall back to its own current templates.
      • To update: copy the matching template files from the plugin (/wp-content/plugins/sportspress/templates/) into your theme’s override folder, replacing the old files. Only copy the ones you’re customizing.
    3. Clear your site cache and refresh permalinks (Settings → Permalinks → Save Changes) to ensure everything reloads.

After removing or updating those template overrides, your calendar and player list should function normally again. Let me know if you run into any issues or need further help!

    Thanks,
    Savvas
