Love this plugin, great work. One thing I’m trying to get my head around is how the email handles custom fields. If I want to add the lon and lat of a map co-ordinate plug-in for a post, do I wrap the custom field name in square brackets or something?

There are 2 options:

Get the shortcode addon http://postieplugin.com/downloads/postie-shortcodes-addon/

Or you can create your own addon that does what you need. http://postieplugin.com/extending/

I’m having a conversation with the plugin author and just trying to work out if his first scenario will work with your plugin.

I’m assuming that, providing I know the field names, I can just populate it within the body of the email. Your plugin will recognise the special field and populate it for that blog post accordingly.
