Is there any simple way to make single events full width? I don’t want the sidebar column to show.

yes, you can try to recopy your theme page.php or single.php and then rename it to single-event.php then removed get_sidebar

I’ve read that, but I’m a “noob” so I don’t even know where I do that.
Wordpress or in my webhost?

yes, you can do that using your host cpanel/file manager.
