How do I start?

    I am brand new at this. So far I have not done anything, although a friend has created a www site for me with WORDPRESS. Can I download WORDPRESS onto my computer at home, copy the www site to my computer, change some things, then upload it to my www host?

    thanks. I have looked at most of the info in the codex and frankly still don’t know if I can install WORDPRESS on my home PC and work on my www page there before uploading to my host. However, I will look further, no doubt the answer is in the codex somewhere!

    the fastest way to get started is to use the automated install that your hosting service provides.

    All hosts that offer cPanel Control Panels have an option to install applications.

    You follow the install wizard questions adding your email, password and username and click install. All of the work will be done for you.

    If you need help most hosting services have a support section that you can find from their main home page on how to use your hosting features and many of them provide videos that you can watch.
