How do I start using this plugin?

    I have downloaded your plugin, now I see lots of bots and have no idea which one to block or not. Or should I block all and then try to untick the ones I think that should be OK? I have a particular bot that really bothers me, that comes from Portugal (but I don’t know the IP, I think they are lots of different IPs), that keeps on crawling each page of my site and then gets off and a new visit another page and so on. I have my site being off line bc the bandwidth exceeded the capacity I have that is enormous…so I am hoping that with your plugin at least I could take away the bad bots (I dont want to take the ones of Google and other genuine search engines away)… any help where to start for a total beginner like me? I have downloaded the plugin already. Thanks. 🙂 Martina

    Hi Martina,

    Try to block all and if something fail (some widget for example), begin to unblock.
    We don’t block google neither bing or yahoo bot.

    In around 2 or 3 days we will release a new version with a log report, that will help you to whitelist bots. Keep an eye on our WordPress plugin page.

    Hi,

    We just released the version 6.14
    Look for Blocked Visits Log report
    on your WordPress dashboard.
    Dashboard => Stop Bad Bots => Blocked Visists Log
