How do you sort/change the order?

I’ve dug and I can’t figure out this simple question. I could probably find the file where these are listed and change the order manually, but I was hoping for a dashboard based solution.

I have an alphabetical list, and when I add a new role, it goes to the bottom of the list. How do I bring it to where it needs to be?
