    I tried the plugin and it looks promising, good work. Can you tell us how the conversion actually works? Which technology/library is used? “Cimo processes your images in the browser before they’re uploaded to WordPress.” isn’t a good answer to the question “How does Cimo’s client-side processing work?”.

    I also wish the ‘Image Optimized by Cimo’ component would adhere more to default WP styles. It’s very dominant and takes visual precedence over more important data. Ideally this component could be disabled completely.

    I’ll see to update that FAQ entry.

    To answer your question, our browsers right now are quite powerful and already have the capabilities for converting images to different formats. At the very core, the conversion is done via JavaScript’s Canvas API.

    Thanks for the suggestion also about the styling and possible removal of the optimization stats!
