How does one contact support directly?

    1. When I post now, I am asked to specify version. I use WordPress.com, so I have not previously had to know the version number. How do I see which version I am using?

    2. How do I contact support directly?

    This is not the correct place for WordPress.com questions, this is ww.wp.xz.cn for self hosted installs.

    Interesting. I got to this forum directly from the link in my WordPress.com dashboard. Do you have any idea why WordPress.com has decided to channel users to ww.wp.xz.cn forums?

    To be clear: I was on my WordPress.com dashboard, seeking help, and the only link that I had was to this forum. There was no link to any WordPress.com forum. So I assumed that I was supposed to post my queries here.

    I might be a good idea for the WordPress.com dashboard to direct people to the WordPress.com forum/support. Just a suggestion. I would make it directly, but WordPress removed from my dashboard the link that allowed me to make suggestions to them directly.

    There’s no reason why WordPress.com would channel people to the ww.wp.xz.cn forum.

    You need to ask on WordPress.com why the link sent you to the wrong place.
