How long will WordPress 4.9 be secure or should I be upgrading to 5.1 now? Some of my site automatically updated to 5.0.1 and some are at 4.9.9.
I did not find a place where the versions are listed and if they are supported or not.

The security fixes in 5.0.1 were backported to all verions of WordPress from 3.7 on. See https://ww.wp.xz.cn/news/2018/12/wordpress-5-0-1-security-release/

For an idea of what that time frame means, 3.7 was released in October 2013.

I’m literally gobsmacked that any project supports security releases for that many years. It’s an impressive commitment.

4.9 will be maintained for security patches for many years.
