    HI there

My site has a page called unposed that has a permalink of unposed-2

I want to change unposed-2 to unposed

But whenever i try to update it in the page configuration, then press Update, it reverts to the unposed-2

I presume this is because I may have created a page called unposed earlier (I cant see it at the moment)

Does the “unposed” permalink exist somewhere where I can find it and remove it?

I have searched everywhere for anything that has “unposed” in it and have found nothing. So I am not sure how to check whata is still using the “unposed” slug.

    Leaving me most confused…

    Any suggestions much appreciated.

    Many thanks,
    David.

Check to see if you have an image named “unposed” or a similarly named post or page in Trash.

Yes thanks Steve, I followed everything I could (via google) and that was one of the steps. I have gone on to posts/pages/galleries and searched for “unposed” and nothing comes up. I have emptied all trash! It is slightly annoying as http://www.fotoscopic/unposed just takes me back to http://www.fotoscopic.com so I am none the wiser as to what “unposed” really is!

    Thanks

Try resetting your permalinks — go to settings->permalinks and click “save”.

Sorry Steve I dont quite follow.
How does that reset the permalinks please?

Before clicking SAVE, what actual change do i make?

    Thanks

    David.

Don’t make any changes. Clicking save forces WP to update some things in the DB and often helps in situations like this.

I have a ticket open with Bluehost. Have chatted three times with them and today had me working on the phpadmin utility searching for “unposed-2” in the database. I found a few traces of this and deleted them but still, unposed as a new page (I deleted the earlier one) always defaults to unposed-2.

I will update this when I get this resolved.

Disabling the standalone add on that I had activated in Envira gallery allowed me to resolve this issue.

Still waiting for Bluehost to get back to me …..wonder if they will or not…..
