    Hi @schwenni1972,

There were some unavoidable changes with the latest release that changed the translation of the words “views” and “comments” for all languages, not only for german. The team behind the german translation should be updating it soon enough and WordPress will notify you when the updated translation files are available for download.

For the time being, you can:

    copied the files into wp-content\languages\plugins\

but no german translation is shown after reload

still show the word “views” in the widget

where is problem / error ?

    Hi @schwenni1972,

Were the German .mo/.po files updated? Because if you only downloaded the files but these haven’t been updated yet (which seems to be the case) WPP will continue to display the english version of the word “views” instead.

Try updating the translation files yourself and check again. Alternatively, you can also try helping update the German translation and hopefully someone will review it and accept your contribution(s).

That solution will work for the time being, yes, but the next time I update the plugin (which should happen soon if the workload allows me to) your modifications will be overwritten and you’ll have to redo that. And then do it again if I release yet another update afterwards.
